The Foundation for Letters and its volunteers design and deliver writing programs to NYC middle and high schools students. FFL is offering fellowships to ten students who will receive free access to FFL’s writing programs (Bronx Loaf, Journalism Workshop, College Literacy Workshop, and FFL’s NYC Writing Competition).

The Fellowship begins with a week-long summer internship at the Bronx Loaf Writers’ Conference from July 9th-14th. Students will help FFL produce the conference while participating in writing activities as a group throughout the week. Then, over the course of the 2018-2019 school year, Fellows attend other writing programs and serve as FFL ambassadors to their schools, helping to connect their classmates, teachers, and school administrators with FFL’s programs and resources.

FFL Fellows will also be invited to attend FFL’s Annual Fall Gala, to run for free in our Brooklyn 5k/15K Race, and to attend several events with other Fellows and FFL Board Members over the course of the academic year.
